Default A couple FBL questions

Hi,

I'm considering buying one of these, and putting an AR7200BX in it.

Just wondering what would be good digital servos to buy, (cyclic and tail) that fit without modification.

Also wondering what motor pinion and tail pulley combination works best with a z-power 5150 motor.

Thanks!

I assume that ""on of these" is a Gaui Hurricane 200?

Hi,
Hyperion DS09 SCD for cyclics and DS09 GMD for tail is a rock solid combination. There is a slight mod on the elevator servo to get the horn to clear-- the ball link on that servo needs to be mounted on the inside of the horn (facing the case), and it can rub against the case, the fix is to put a rubber washer as a spacer before putting the servo horn on-- this extends just enough so the ball on the inside position won't hit the case.

The only thing to watch out for is the tabs on the servo casing are not all that strong so don't overtighen them onto the frame (I hardmounted mine and cracked a tab).
