700 or 800 blades?
I have ordered my Wren 44 turbine, now I need a Magnum to go with it.
How many of you Magnum guys run long booms and 800s and is it worth it. I am not a 3D sort of person and will hopefully stick it in a fuz in the future so want to keep the head speed down. What is the slowest speed the FBL Magnum will run for gentle flying? |

On my Intrepid, swinging 813s, 1450 is the recommended minimum RPM and that's for solid clutch engagement. Max RPM is recommended to be no more than 1650. The mechs on my Intrepid are the same as the 44 Magnum so I would imagine the limits are the same. Chris, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for that.
I believe Chris knows I am interested in a Magnum but is still preoccupied with the move to worry about me at the moment. Lets hope the crippling import duties to get stuff sent over here does not make buying a kit prohibitive. I would hate to have to put the Wren in an Tr*x 700. |
