Some brass cylinders to replace the two lengths of heat shrink on the control rod?

That's what I do.
The heat shrink solution sucks. . .

First priority are the new blade holders, which are coming along very well. Next thing on my list is coming up with a new, more elegant and more secured way of mounting the links to the tail control rod. I was never a fan of the whole idea of just gluing the set screws into the rod.

Now that school is just about over I should have a lot more time to devote to these projects.

Thanks for the support everyone,
Rob

While I applaud your devotion to making an already almost perfect design better, jb weld makes that connection as solid as needed. Now if you came up with a slide in from the rear battery tray with click together battery connection. You would make a lot of friends! Or a magnetic canopy post that kept the original placement. The clip system works but is a pain. Either way. Keep up the great work

I was trying at a hardware store, but finally found the proper size at a local Hobby Shop.
Who would have thought . . .

Yes please Rob. But can you also do cheap shipping to Europe? I've a feeling that postage would be more than the bronze sleeves...

Here are some pieces from brass, I just tested the fit with a 4mm CF rod and a TDR guide I had left over, they fit NICE! They glide through the guides much better than the heat shrink.

45mm long
