OnTheSnap,

Thanks for posting photos of your SK 720. I just installed SK 720's on my Trex 450 Pro and Trex 500 using Align 450 Pro and Align 500 FBL heads as you did with your 450 Pro. I initially tried mounting the SK 720 on the 450 Pro's stock antirotation bracket but then discovered the KDEDirect extended antirotation bracket for FBL units. It enabled me to install the SK 720 facing forward (servo ports forward) solidly on a longer bracket. I recommend the longer FBL bracket for anyone mounting a FBL device on the 450 Pro.

I initially installed Align 3G units on my Trex 450 Pro and Trex 500 and then ordered Skookum SK 720's when I began to hear good comments about them. I am really happy with the way they perform. They let me adjust the level of control I want from the unit directly in the unit. I currently have both units set between the Scale and Default levels (elevator and aileron control rates set at 140 and 150, respectively) while I get accustomed to them. So far, I am very happy. I have a lot more control of my helis, and I am enjoying flying them much more as a result.

Who makes and where did you get the "AR arm plate" the Mini-V is mounted on?

EDIT: never mind, found it, but out of stock. It's available here, though.

I bought the Aligh 3G flybar unit from ebay without the flybarless head and converted the trex 450Se2 into flybarless using all stock parts.

i used the following as a reference, see:

http://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=...Qq0UVR4kCc_lmg

It works very well even on the first flight. Need to do more testing and adjusting to get it perfect.

let me know if you have any questions

How's the Mikado 450 FBL Head working out for you guys? My 6S Pro will be converted to FBL shortly, and would really like some inputs on what head conversion to order.

Hey,

I'm about to build FBL pro. I just want some opinion on what to buy. I dont know which one. Mini v-bar or 3g. 3g is nice due to the package that includes everything, but i'm a little confuse because of it's more negative feedback than v-bar has. On the other hand, v-bar+head would cost me 100€ more.

What do you guys think?

Tnx,

I am using the 3G on my Pro and it has been awesome. I also have 3G's on my 700N and 700E's, never had a problem or issue and the heads for all are really nice.

If you guys don't mind me asking, what will a Mikado Mini-V stabi system cost me in U.S. dollars? I wouldn't mind getting my X-mas list put together early so my wife has a chance to save up

Default Using mine as a trainer

SK 720 mounted in the gyro position using JR DS285MG swash servos and 3500MG Tail. I'm supplying mine, with a warning: I am by no means an expert. Oh and another warning, if you're tweaking stuff in between flights be sure you upload the right file, reversed ailerons are not fun. Oh and one more, always disconnect the battery from your SK720 before plugging or unplugging the USB cable from the computer. I'm not sure if that's what did it or if the servo was gonna fail anyway but something toasted it.

Default Is my setup and file OK?

I am getting close to completing my Pro with MiniV, and was hoping somebody could look over my file and setup.

I posted a thread in the VBar section on HF - but if anyone here can help here's a link.

Thanks,

Ant

Here is my 3G installation. Using the AR6255 receiver, all fits neatly inside the frame. I just drilled two small holes to access the pots on the bottom plate. The LEDs and the button are visable through the two bottom slits.
