Hi Locoracers, I don't have any upgrades on my SR at all, it's all stock. Which one of your DX8 settings do you recommend using on an all stock SR?

If nobody sends you a file, and I would like to see what others are doing, PM me and I will send my SR file to you.

You don't need to open the file. You download the file to the SD card then load the file from the SD card to the DX8.
Then you bind the heli to the DX8.

For a little more detail on how to do this, see my post #6246 near the middle of the page on this thread:

What are the best settings for a DX7SE?? Got one for a steal at local shop and am trying to learn how to use/program it!! I dont know if I'm not doing it right or if there is something wrong with it! Two servos on swash move but the other just drops down and stays there! This is also my first computer radio!! If you guys can give me any help it would be great!!

Thanks E_heli!! Those settings worked great!! I think the SR flies better on the 7SEthan it did on the stock transmitter!! Thanks again for the help and info.

Default Newby to Heli's

I am wondering if both the Dual Rate and Swashplate setting effect the swashplate. Do you set one first then adjust the other to how you want the Heli to fly? It looks to me that both the Dual rate and the Swashplate settings effect swashplate movement.

Say I put 80% and 20% Exp in Dual rate and then 80% and exp ACT in the swashplate settings say for Ail. Does the 80% in Dual rate multiply by the 80% in Swashplate?

Or do you set the Dual rate to 100% then adjust the Swash to a % that make the swashplate move to the limits of the servo travel. Then adjust the Dual Rate % to make the Heli fly the way you want it to?

Dual rates and expo should all be INH during setup, then adjust swash values to get full/proper travel. After that, then use D/R and expo to tailor to your needs. But really, D/R shouldn't go over 100, especially if you have your swash set to move to it's max with the swash mixes.

Thanks for the info. This make perfect sense to me now! The neg 30 on ail and elev on my dual rate makes my SR much easier to hover. Without the neg Expo I was chasing my tail and not reacting fast enough to movements in the heli.

Ya! I put neg on mine to make it easier, but to some it might be too reactive. Something you have to figure out by trial and (hopefully not too much) error.

I have a DX7S and just got a Blade SR. Will the DX8 setting load into the 7S and work? If not, what is the best route to go? I have seen many setups for the 6i, 7, and now 8, just can not find any for the SR with the DX7S?

Thanks for any input.

Sorry for the double post, did not see this one post, so I re-posted.

I just purchased a Blade SR, and already have the DX7S. I understand this radio is very similar to the DX8 (looks almost identical, I know the 8 supports one more channel). Will the DX8 Files work in the DX7S?

I have been looking everywhere for good setting to load into the DX7S, all I mainly find are DX6i (not sure how some of the setting translate as far as Gyro, Mix, etc). Any direction to get the DX7S set up with a great setting for the SR will be great.

Thanks for any guidance!
