15 ~ 20 mph winds. Didn't want to try it. No better for next few days either.

Nope didn't fly today...not without tryin though... I got the two servo's rebuilt, fixed up the head, etc.... but the head setup was WAY off...so after I spent hours working on that. 80% of the way through...my front servo went *click click VRRRRRRR* at the limits... It just wasn't happening.

Sokal did get his bird up at least...though the challenge became getting it down!

The weather was sweet too...all well, the company was great, and the food even better!!!

perfect here today. I went to a local park with a bunch of people. one guy with a 700 was inverted about 4 feet up when the crank/rod broke. flipped her over and auto'ed perfect. It was amazing. I didn't fly my 400 with them cause they would have laughed. I flew 2 batterys when I got home though
here are some pics

lol....Mrs. Sokal quite the cook?.....glad to hear its back together......head setup is undoubtedly the most time consuming and pain-staking process there is but its a necessary evil to acheving a solid bird..... take a stab at it with a fresh mind and youll have it back to perfect in no time....glad to hear sokal made it off the ground as well....and made it back in one peice...lol..it was great meeting you yesterday man, cant wait to do this again!......let me know next time you get a chance to head up here!

I few 11 batteries today! Was fun to get out there. Second time only in 2009.. Minnesota you know.. was 38F and calm.. very fun.. all the dark months on Phoenix helped.. I felt really relaxed even inverted hovering. Will post a video in the video section.. although it isn't that great... heli so tiny.. camera man didn't use the zoom at all.

Got to see a 600 fly and a 500 as well. And one fellow was inverted hovering his 450 and dumb thumbed it full power into the snow... hardly ANY damage! Just 1 link broken was all. Unreal.

Went out today and got 6 packs off on the Blade before my TX battery died!!

Didn't get a chance to put the 500 up, but it was still a good day. Maybe tomorrow.

Ran out 4 pack today, having some fun flying some fast circuits in the wind.

I've said it before but flying in the wind is very zen. Know the heli, feel the heli, BE the heli.

Good idea on the thread. I post regularly on 'that other one'... It's proven to be a great place to just hang out and chat about whatever... and it seems the other one is ALWAYS on the front page.. it just never dies.

Flew the Blade twice early this morning before the wind got stupid. Then the wind picked up with 20+ mph gusts so the Trex 500 came out.
