Default On Off switch possible problem?

Hey guys happy new year! Just wondering if anyone has had any probs with the receiver switch on the bottom plate? I have my G-View connected and it seems to flicker alittle and i am just wondering if the switch may be at fault. Can i check it or is it a throwaway item for replacement? Thanks.

You can test the switch by putting a volt meter accross the switch terminals, you may need to remove some insulation from the terminals for this. If you use a regulator you may have to test it using an ohm meter instead. Just place the probes accross the out going side of the switch and turn it on, wiggle it a lot and see if the voltage spikes or drops. If it's an ohm meter you will have to disconect the battery and test through the switch. If you do this make sure you test both sides of the switch if it's a double pole switch. The ohm rating will increase if the switch is defective. If it is defective you may be able to buy a replacement switch from an electronics supplier and change it to save yourself a few quid. If you need more guide lines on testing the switch post a photo and I will see if I can write a better guide.
