Default HobbyWing Platinum Pro 30A OPTO is not Opto at all!?!
I just got the new Platinum Pro 30A OPTO ESC, opened it for little inspection ... and what did I find... There is no optocoupler in this ESC at all. Fair enough, it does not have a BEC, but that does not make it OPTO!!!

Looks like the signal ground is directly connected to the battery - and the PPM signal goes through a voltage divider directly to the microcontroller. No opto for sure.

How disappointing you really don't know what you get ...

Makes me think if this is the case with other OPTO ESCs too... if "OPTO" actually means nowadays that the ESC does not have a BEC. Any comments?

It looks the same as the pictures in Google Images, and it came with the hologram sticker. I wonder if that's enough to confirm authenticity?
