Performance Tail Upgrades by KDE Direct for all 500 Series Helicopters
KDE Direct has just released the Performance Tail Upgrades for the Align 450, 500, 600, and 700 series helicopters! The new designs offer rock-solid tail control and precision for all flying styles, with a accurate bore for the stock brass bushing and a new flanged, radial ball bearing supported tail grip.
The best part about the new upgrades: they are a simple retrofit for the stock Align parts. No need to purchase aftermarket tail grips, hubs, or other expensive items. Rather, these are a direct replacement of the stock plastic tail control links that are known to wear and generate slop in a matter of 10+ flights. Once you install the upgrades, you will notice an immediate reduction in slop and a truly locked-in tail for your gyro to take full advantage of. Thanks to all for supporting the KDE Direct brand!

I try to install this upgrade kit but can't figure out how the flanged radial ball bearing (3) can stay in the hole of tail control link (1). The socket head screw is smaller than the hole of the control link, how it is supposed to stay there.
Note: Number 1 & 3 above refer to the picture of the original thread CN |

The note in the assembly drawing states to use bearing retainer. I assume they are referring to green thread lock.

I try to upgrade my 500 ESP and the tail rotorbladeholder part where the small screw goes doesnt come over the KDE flanged radial ball bearing.
Is it not possible to upgrade the ESP version or??? |

Hey R1RoLLER,
Send me an e-mail (sales@kdedirect.com) of the issue you are seeing (include pictures if possible). I don't fully understand what the problem you are having is, as they should work just fine for the 500ESP. - Patrick

These work incredibly well
I was having problems with vibration on my scale t-rex 500's, and this neat upgrade fixed it. I have these on all my 500's now.
Hey when are you going to make these for the 600? |

v2 upgrade
Just bought it and love it. Comes with 2 flanged bearings now. Great addition.
