I was hoping for metal geared servos. Otherwise from what I can see on my phone it looks good, but not worth selling my 300x to upgrade to it.

It addresses the main problem with the 300X which was frame flex.

Looks like a frame swap will update my 300X to where I want it to be.

That frame sure looks solid. I just checked out the vídeo a second ago, I think it may be one of Blade's best efforts.

They should really have provided:

. a motor that doesn't shake itself to death after 50 flights
. an ESC with a better BEC and a governor (aka YEP 30)
. a tail servo that doesn't fail after 40 flights

I agree. In fact if they just sold the frame alone I'd go for that instead, I'd much prefer that. But how much would you say would be a decent price for kit alone?

We shouldn't have to UPGRADE I agree but we often do when stuff ships with electronics we don't like. How much is a T Rex 250 Pro sans 3GX going for ? about 300 bucks.

IF it's cheap enough BNF, when you count in the BX, maybe it won't be so bad.

I mean, how much is it going to retail for? This is the big question.

And also, the true cost of ownership is not the upfront price but maintenance and crashes... imho. Not justifying Blade's poor history of electronics and, frankly, crappy motors, but just saying.

It's listed at $399 on blade's site.

I think I'll skip it and save for the 350qx AP.

Oh I know lol... Just Tom in the UK's just after telling us it works out over US$500 after VAT etc ; )

I wonder how much we'll be hit for it down under here. Nevertheless, it'll be my next purchase, more than likely.

Depends on quantities Modelflight bring in I guess.
The B450X was sold at the same US price here originaly, but times have changed . + $100 maybe!

What electronics are you thinking to upgrade too to replace the stock Eflite?
Yes I know not already

Are these all reused parts from the 450X?

I'll probably fly it stock for a bit, it sounds heavy, but I've never flown a 300X before.

I have a YGE 40 on hand, if it's too massive I'll go get a YGE 30. If I can't get one, a YEP. Probably keep checking the motor shaft/bearings like I did on the 450X and replace it before it takes the heli out of the sky.

the new 300CFX does look promising, better frame, servo layout etc.. disappointing its not MG servos on cyclic at least
im also wondering why they arent releasing all new helis such as this with a better castle ESC, this has long been lacking on their helis

i *hope* if they do the same with the 450x, they release it as a kit only with castle ESC as std, MG servos, CF frame and improved servo layout

dunno about the dominator but Align micros have cheap ESC's too.

Not saying that two wrongs a right makes, but there you go.

i think blade should try make models that stop them being compared to align. i do realize they are probably a competitor cost wise, but if they can release a better kit/combo for a little more cost, people will buy it
look at msh, mikado, etc
450x and upwards imho should be released as kits with higher quality components.. 300CFX is debatable i guess that could be their 'cheap' entry line limit

Kit or BNF, I'm in if it's ~$400 +- something acceptable locally. Obviously cheaper the better but I'm in.
