Default Servo problem???....

Connect the battery to heli, bind to dx6i, light turned solid red read to fly….., but then servo continues to “click, click, click…” none stop??? . Usually I hear one “click” sound then I know it’s ready to fly.

When I am flying the heli I’ve noticed rudder isn’t working as smooth, and within 2 min into flying, the heli starts to spin ccw uncontrollably. I’ve checked the settings on tx , the tail motor spins freely and all the wires seem attached correctly.

What am I supposed to look for? Just changed the servos?

Check the little gears on the offending servo. Might have hair or dirt, or worse a chipped tooth on the gear.

Servo gears look cleaned, no hairs or dirts.

I’ve replaced the complete tail boom assembly including the motor, and now I am back to normal. But getting tired of spending $$ to just keep up the heli in flying condition.

When you are just learning. Helicopters can be a money pit.
Once you get past the crash and cash faze both the helicopters and the cost of repairs go up exponentially with size. If you have a 10 power glass
take another look at the servo gears. They are very fine and it does not take much to bind them or bend the teeth. The good news is the gears are cheep if you need a set.

I had a problem with a second hand 120sr . One of the servos would constantly spin and the rod would move freely up and down. Heli was unpredictable when flying and had a few expensive crashes. Ordered a new servo which arrived today. I read here about just replacing the servo and leaving the original motor still soldered to the board. What a brill piece of advice. Heli now flies superbly. One thing I did notice was the small cog had broken teeth which also caused problems so replace it with the one on new servo motor.

I had a sticking servo which kept randomly spinning. Replaced servo using existing motor wired to 5 in 1. Heli was unpredictable before but now flies like a dream.

You can try deoxite in the servos that typically fixes them right up. Unless they are stripped.
