Default Tailrotor pinion and tail blade

I have the silver tailrotor pinion install with 115mm tail blade as you from photo below. Headspeed is 80% 1905rpm according to Mr Mell calculator.. I can bump my radio to 85% and get 2024 rpm. I fly my 700 in the 2000 rpm range. Do you guys see any issue running this setup

Thank You

The silver is the slower of the two pulleys, so with 115's and 2000 rpm I would think you are good. Are you having any issues with tail performance? I was told the red is really for lower head speeds (<1900).

I'm running the red with a tri-tail 105's at around 1700, but I think I'm going to install the silver to slow it down a bit. It screams during funnels right now. I have the gain relatively low as well.

it all depends on your headspeed and tail pulley. in general the 106's will work well if you have the red pulley and headspeed between 1500-1800. a chart is prob the best way to describe it

1100-1500
1. red pulley 115 size tail blades

1500-1800
1. red pulley 106 tails
2. silver pulley 115 tail blades

1800-2200
1. silver pulley 106 tail blades.

you may be able to get away with 115's in the 1500-1800 range with red pulley if your gain is on the high side. but generally you want to air on the higher electric gain rather than mechanical gain (ie larger blades or faster tail)

the tail "screaming" isn't a bad thing. if its oscillating, then that is a bad thing. the point of the 3 blade tail to me is the noise! LOL

With this combo 695mm main and 115mm tail blade running 1900-2000 headspeed works great, This is with the silver pulley, No blow out.
