Default JR 11X and SwitchGlo Pro

I switched to the Gryphon GVR7020 Regulator and SwitchGlo Pro from my old Align 2 in 1 because I was afraid of the Align switch failing in flight. The Gryphon has a fail-on failsafe pin/flag switch.

Since it took me so long to figure this out (even after reading all the posts on SGP setup with the 9303/9503/12x and AR7100 receiver [programming the rev limiter), I thought I would post up my settings for my new SwitchGlo Pro (SGP) on my 700N. Field tested successfully today.

The SGP glow is enabled by the Throttle Hold switch only if all 3 of the following conditions are met:

1. Normal Mode
2. Throttle stick at Low Idle (not more than about than 3 "clicks")
3. Throttle Hold switch ON

I am running a JR 921 receiver and have the SGP in Aux 4 (Govenor in Ch5 and Gyro in Aux2/Gyro Sens)

Settings:

SGP - SIP switch 3 (Servo Reverser) - set UP (Negative Zone).
I left the BUZZER on so I can hear when the glow is ignited. Nice feature!

JR 11X
SYSTEM LIST
1. DEVICE SELECT - AUX4 - HOLD SW - ACT(ive)

Enables the SGP to turn on with the TH HOLD switch.

FUNCTION LIST
2. REVERSE SW - AUX4 - NORM

At this point, the Throttle Hold switch is activating the SGP in ALL flight modes, regardless of Throttle Stick Position.

3. Program Mix 6 (Any mix will do)
NORMAL mix (not curve)
THR+ -->AUX4 (THR+ is THRO with TRIM, THRO HOLD, THRO CURVE set ON)
H:-100%
L:-100%
OFFSET: +0
SW SEL FMOD 1, 2, SPS0 ON -- all other switches OFF.

This mix disables the Throttle Hold from turning on the SGP in Flight mode (Idle up) 1 and 2 (i.e. operating only in FM0 or NORMAL mode ), and tells the mix to take input from SPS0 (Stick Switch Position Zero) set next.

4.STICK POS SW (Stick Position Switch)
SPS0: THRO
SYM: OFF
AREA: HIGH
POS: L 92

This last setting tells Program Mix 6 to disable the THold from turning on the SGP if the throttle stick is more than a couple of clicks higher than Low Idle.

This worked like a charm!

I am no JR11X programming expert, but I hope this helps anyone struggling with the SGP programming. (The JR 11X manual is absolutely no help here!)

Great post, thanks. it should be a sticky.

I have been using the SG with my JR 9503 for two years now and it has worked great. Mine is on the Gear switch.
