Default 3000mah Compatability

I would like to use 3000mah packs on my Pro. Which ones fit? Which are you flying with?

Please include the C rating as well.

Specifically the Sky Lipo 3000 and Turnigy 3000 packs.

Im looking to get too. My gens ace 2600 are only getting me 3.30 flight times with 100 flat curve and agressive smack type flying. I get 4.30 with my nanotechs 3300 but its alittle nose heavy. Waitin for sky lipo 3000 to come back in stock. You should be good with any brand if you keep it under 550 grams maybe even less

I just had a live chat with hobbypartz. They say they will be receiving the gensace 2600 in 2 weeks and the sky lipo 3000 30c and 40c in that time as well.

im thinking of just going with 2650's as i'd like to keep my esc under the battery tray.

Blueprint, im flying the turnigy 3000, 30c pack and it fits nicely. I have a castle ice and mounted in the middle just aft of the motor and it balances well. If you esc is under the battery, it may be front heavy.

I also fly a 3000 nanotech, 25c. Much lighter than the turnigy but less power. I have two of each. The nano gets way hotter and less power than the tunigy. Not sure if its b/c it is only 25c or not. Stay away from the nanotech 3000. 25c. I am going to try the 35c version of nanotech and report back.

Thanks!!

I am thinking of going with 2650 sky lipo's and than eventually upgrading to 3000/3300mah lipos and a Castle 75 Lite and mounting it aft of the shaft, hopefully i can get it to balance.

I had a 500 ESP and it balanced fine with 3300's...

I am flying the PULSE 6S 22.2V 2600mAh 65C - XTREME POWER SERIES and for $85, I like them a lot. I am not into 3d yet but I do run UI at 95% doing flips and rolls and sport flying. I run them for 4:30 and using about 65%-70%. They are a little warm when they come down NOT hot.

Have a couple 3300 40c lipos I use on my 500 , fits fine run it for 5 minutes down to 30%. Decided to stick with 2650s though the 3300 seem kind of heavy in the air for mild 3d.

Biggest i'm using is Turnigy 3000 40C they have heaps of punch and i'm getting comfortably 4:30 on aggressive sport and big air, they only fit if you position them a little forward of the perfect cg, it's not dramatically nose heavy though.
I've got my speedy under the battery tray too so these would probably balance perfect if you gaffe your speedy on the side.

I've confirmed that the sky lipo 3000mah 30c fit but unfortunately the canopy does not fit to close it up. CG is perfect. The only way to fit the canopy is if i slide the battery down a few MM but that compromises the CG. The battery is just to tall and hits the top of the canopy... plenty of room up front however.

Nope.... i purchased them used here on HF.

I got them to fit with the canopy on. I had to move the battery forward but this made the helicopter slightly nose heavy.

I am squeezing about an extra 30sec. - 1min on average over the Sky Lipo 2650's.

Even though it's slightly nose heavy i don't feel the effects of it at all in flight. I do notice it being heavier overall though as opposed to the 2650's but all maneuvers are still effortless with this helicopter.

Im glad i sold my Protos for this helicopter. Couldn't be any happier.

I've also confirmed that the GensAce 6S 3300mah 25C batteries also CG slightly nose heavy but no ill effects in flight. Also no way of fitting the canopy over but i'm comfortable flying without it.

With the 3300's im getting a 5.5 - 6min. flight time in smooth 3D.

I will also add that the helicopter FEELS significantly heavier with the 3300's as opposed to the 2650's.

yeah i agree you cant really notice the weight cause the heli has so much power but i almost botched an auto with the 3300s the first time i flew with them, this is the best heli ive ever flown, makes me want to sell my 600
