Damn guys!!! Wow that is close...makes me feel much better. I can move back a bit 2 to 3mm in my case...that will make suce a difference!

The ine thing that I need to sort out is my EC5 connection on the left side (lynh and mine ate the same) that cable also creats some difficulty however its not the end of the world.

Thanks for the pics! I cant stop staring at this machine...its really a pretty little thing :-)

There's plenty of room at the front William, all I did was to channel the EC5s forward beneath the front battery.

I suspect it is to do with the Y junction (triangle of three EC5 connectors) vs bullets being able to split which gives plus 6 joints minus 2 joints for the neg to pos bridge between batts for bullets.

Im using prc 6 connectors. They are true male and female connectors unlike ec5 where the male brass is in a female protective case. On the battery ends postive male connector and female negative connector. On the esc the opposite configuration. Plug one male to female into the other battery then remaining connectors to esc. No need for a Y harness and a little more flexibilty for connecting

So I would really only be dropping two. I don't use a Y harness. My ESC is split with two EC5's, then one on each battery. Going to bullets, would allow me to just drop one of those on the EC5's.

Dont forget the ease of polarity reverse...yes a rookie mistake but with those plugs it can easily happen. I'll stick with my EC5 connectors thank you

My example was XT150's with colour as the connection indicator with both batt leads having female connectors and ESC having male connectors. If you went with polarized pos and neg ie male and female connectors then you would save all six that are introduced by the Y junction in an EC5 config, but, you would risk batt self short. This is of course a topic that has been discussed extensively. Proceed with caution!

Wow.. This topic has come a long way! My ESC is close to the motor too, but the connectors are not shrink wrapped. And I use 2 EC5's on the ESC to connect the batts.. Easy.. Safe.. Reliable.. I see no reason over complicate connectors.

Personal choice, What you can do with bullets is plug the battery into itself. Rookie
I find the bullet connectors much easier to manage,

Default They REALLY work

I did the 1st 4 flights on No 38 without the ducts, all about 3 minutes long on 12 S and it build a good ammount of heat. I installed the NACA ducts for the 5th flights and boy what a differece! I can lay my hand on the motor and ieverything inside stayed very cool.

They are right where Gerd recomends, right in front of the ESC. The ducts however can grab the wires comming out of the ESC making the canopy installation a royal PITA, so clean and tuck the ESC-battery wires as much as you can.
