He agreed to sell me a Genius CP through private message. He claimed to have shipped the heli out on October 1st. It's October 9th and I still have nothing. After reading about his bullshit scams on RC Groups, runryder, and here, I'm beginning to think that he's ****ed me over.

joshwat40@gmail.com -- Paypal account he had the money sent to.

The payment was sent to an "lidia corea."

He, under his joshwat alias, lists his location as Victorville, CA.

Thats why I never buy from a guy with no feedback. I know its unfair to classify someone with no feedback like that but I just can't afford to be ripped off by these scum bags that get banned and make new accounts just to rip more people off.

His original claim was he shipped it "at the post office" on the evening of October 1st. It doesn't take 8+ days for a (presumably) USPS Priority Mail package to get from CA to PA. In all likelihood, he never sent the item and he's trying to scam me. I just submitted a Paypal dispute and immediately escalated it. Paypal is giving him until October 19th to respond to my claim.

Crap.... I just stumbled on this thread.

I just bought Trex 250Pro/DFC from Trucker41 last Friday. He rushed me to pay him stating that he is about to make a trip to the post office for other items he is mailing out and he can mail the heli with others. I have PM'ed him about the tracking information on Saturday but have not heard back from him. Same Paypal account. Should I dispute with Paypal now or wait a few days to see if heli shows up in the mail?

He gave me the same line. Probably a scammer tactic to get the payment quickly and keep us from doing some research on his Paypal account, username, aliases, history of disputes, etc. I'd file the dispute now. There's a high chance that he's scamming us both. If the item comes, you can always cancel the dispute. I mentioned in my dispute that he's scammed other users and been banned on several different message boards. I even included a link to this thread. You should do the same; it will probably help our case.

Which option for dispute? Unauthorized transaction or Problem with the purchase? It seems as Paypal is advising to wait 7 days for item that has not been received before dispute.

Problem with the purchase. One you click that, I believe there's an option for "item never received." Once the dispute has been filed, you need to go to the dispute center and escalate the dispute to a claim.

I don't think he bought the BeastX. Then again, it's hard to tell because his writing is borderline incomprehensible. I noticed the phone number, too. Probably just pre-paid cellphone numbers he uses to look trustworthy.

I haven't received anything in the mail, either. He hasn't responded to my private messages, e-mail messages, or my Paypal dispute. His HeliFreak account says he was last online on October 6th.
