pinion removal and installation
What is easy way to remove pinion and install one? I want to take off 15T pinion from Gaui motor and install another GAui motor.
What type of loctite to use? |

I don't know the Gaui motors, all that I have simply use a set screw and usually a flat spot to hold the pinion in place.
In that case I use standard thread lock on the threads of the set screw and never had a problem. If the motor/pinion you have is press fit then you would need to use a bearing (cylindrical shaft) retainer type.

There is no set screw on the X2/255/200 gaui gears. I have a Gaui X2 and I used the posted gear puller and I use purple Loctite. This seems to be strong enough. In other discussions, Green is suggested since it will wick up bewteen the gear and shaft. However, it is more permanent so maybe harder to get off the next time.
