So I assume you are keeping full support and parts for the Industrial Twins?

The stock we have of all of those parts you mentioned will last for quite some time, and the majority of which are common with our industrial birds.

Frame parts are easy to make, which means they don't require tooling up to make a run of a 100 or 1000 pcs, so while I don't have them in huge numbers, they will also remain available.

Here's the "business/heli building and shipping" side of the facility... Still a bit cluttered, but believe me WAY better than what it was a week or two ago...

That was much different than I expected. I was figuring on maybe something new like a Turbine or Gas Quad. Tough decisions have to be made sometimes. Glad you will still have parts available.

Part 1 :Chris when you get the time could you list the hobby parts you will not be supporting (I'm assuming that list is shorter cause of your cross utilization) & give us possible sources for us to obtain them, if there is any?

Part 2 : Since this forum is under "RC Helicopter Support" and you're not doing that anymore, are you leaving this forum as well? As it must take up a lot of your time.

Good luck with your new venture, I'll bet it's an exciting field to be in.

List? No, sorry. I don't see that as being useful to the time that it would take to go through each and every part and decide yes or no.

If you read what I wrote, and I'll try to break it down even more, We'll no longer be offering the Hobby KIT helicopters. My intention is to continue supporting those that are out there, both in parts and tech support. I can't make it any clearer than that. Will there come a day that a certain part simply is no longer available? Yes, eventually. But that is true of every model on the market. Can I tell you when that will happen? no.

Maybe I am a being a bit thick but being new to the breed you will have to excuse me.

What category does the Magnum44 come under?

I assumed it would be under the 'Hobby Model' and so being discontinued but not mentioned in the above letter from Chris so not sure.

That's the one that I'm struggling with. However, having already quoted to Bob the purchase of this kit, I will certainly honor it if the decision is made to purchase.

Chris...First, congradulations, I know that had to be a very hard decision to make, and as they say, business is business. I'm sure if will go well for you. Your product has always been about quality and customer service.

As an owner of 3 Bergen helis, it is good to know that most parts will still be availiable, at least for awhile. I'm glad I got my Magnum 44 kit from you when I did, I love that heli and it is good to know parts will be availiable for the un-expected bad landing, (knock on wood).

Good luck in your new direction...

Coop

Chris; Thanks for clearing that up for me... When you say "My intention is to continue supporting those that are out there, both in parts and tech support" I'm sure that even with your new venture we hobbyists can rest assured that we'll be getting the best support bar none in the industry.
Support & quality are the reasons I went with Bergen at the outset. Seems that nothing much has changed for me... Thanks for that.

Congratulations Chris!
Very tough decisions indeed my friend, but you gotta do what you gotta do to keep them doors open and bread on the table.
I'm not surprised at all given the market today, but I knew you would continue the support as long as possible.
I wish you the best in your new venture and it goes without saying, a great friendship has grown out of dealing with you, so if I can do any little thing to assist from this end, just pop me an email

Wow, the last two (very) expensive turbine helis that I've built resulted in the end of both US hobby company offerings. I'm bad news...

Yep, good news for your current customers! If only I were so fortunate for my current turbine heli.
