Think we're gonna have to nobble the start switcher with Valium and the end switcher with amphetamines

Thanks guys for a warm Australian welcome!

The Banshees did their usual howling and the Diabolo-S's started to flex their blades

Very impressed by helicraze's speed flying. Boy do I have a lot of work to do before becoming a speednik!

I just saw that Helicraze took first place with 282km/h!! Holly molly! Damn that is fast. Care to share some of your tricks? Very impressive! I have a lot of practicing to do!

Default Australian Speed cup 2014

Practice. This year we used time track by button pushers so there is margin for error.
I think best way is 200m run no more than 10-15m high with 2 people pushing buttons each end (and average of both) to calculate speed. We tried radar in tripod 2 years running but even that had strange result and lots of misses

not taking anything away from my good friend but that 282kmh was a false reading Guys , 255kmh was the more legit figure and the one we agreed upon , we did ask the officials to scrap the 282 but i think they got a little too excited with their posting

Helicraze was definitely the fastest on the day without doubt

Unfortunately timed even over 150m at these speeds only gives a fraction of a second difference between 10km/hr !

Having an electronic gate is just about impossible for the event - there must be another way !

Next Helicraze's. Note nice 45 degree angle although that was against the wind (actually very little), easier to catch
