Dominators are the premium, and are modular so you can choose/upgrade the rx module and HT module.

They have the sharpest image, but a slightly smaller field of view than the attitudes. They also come bare (no rx, no HT).

The attitudes are a good google though. Slightly bigger FOV and built in rx/HT for a good price. Adjustable IPD might be useful if you have a smaller or larger head than typical.

Predators, I never used the v2 only the v1 but I wouldn't bother with them personally. The choice should be between attitudes, dominators or waiting for the dominator HD's

There are however dominator HDs in the works which are just going to be insane. 800x600 resolution (vs 640x480, it'll upscale your video feed), massive field of view (45 degrees vs 30 in doms and 35 in attitudes), glass optics, adjustable IPD and probably a built in SD card recorder too.

It's looking like they may start to appear in the fall (sept/oct time) but of course they might slip back further.

If I was in a hurry I'd buy dominators, rx module and the new trinity head tracking module (assuming head tracking was required). Then when the Dom HD's arrive you can transfer the modules over and you have also have a nice pair of observer goggles for a passenger.

I have the Base model and I am very happy with them. I think it has a bigger field of view over the Dominators. I think there is only so much they can do, most of what you see is going to depend on your camera and video feed. At this point no one is going to have that great HD experience like we see on the video that is shot from the Gopro or similar camera.

I recommend if you do get Dominators don't get the Fat Shark vRx module but instead get the TBS Dominator Vrx, it will receive all four bands and the TBS vTx's are just brilliant.

The TBS module doesn't work especially well with the airwave frequencies.

If you intend to use the skyRF/boscam Tx's then it's a good choice. It will pick up airwave too but the performance isn't great apparently...

So decide what vTX's you'll be using and then chose the vRX module. For what it's worth the new NexwaveRF (immersionRC/fatshark) stuff is absolutely top quality and extremely sensitive.

I have a TBS Rookie vTx, works the best with the TBS Dominator vRx and is probably the best performing smallest 200mW vTx out there. From what I read ZFB is correct as far as the Immersion frequencies not working so well with the Dominator module but using the cheaper Boscam vTx's will get you superior performance so using them is a good choice, if you are not pushing the envelope with distance then it may not matter.

I also have a Fat Shark/Immersion 100mW vTx and will be doing some testing in the coming weeks once I get my Discovery back together when my replacement Core gets here.

I have not used the Predators but they are only 25 degrees FOV so somewhat limiting. There are some good packages at good prices so not a bad way to start, they do not have head tracking so could be a deciding factor if you want to play with that.

As said I haven't used the v2, but based on my experience with v1 I wouldn't bother with predators.

I suggest you get on a back order at a big retailer like RMRC, they will always be among the first to get new stock.

At the moment fatshark are having some issues with supply chain for attitudes so production is a bit slower than usual.

Ready Made has the Dominators and Attitudes in stock now. I ordered a set of the Predators, I hooked them up, was not impressed, I'm sending them back and ordered a set of the Attitudes. As I am just starting with FPV I'm thinking FOV is more important at the moment than a sharp screen. If all goes according to plan I'll pick up a pair of the HD goggles when they come out.

Fat Shark are pretty much flavour of the month but it generally locks you in to using the Fat Shark or Immersion RC branded gear unless you get the Dominator goggles and a TBS Dominator vRx module.

Boscam also do similar goggles as do Foxtech, lots of comparisons out there. I think the wider availability of the Fat Sharks have given them somewhat more market saturation.

For what it's worth, the modules are the same. You could take the TBS module and fit it to a pair of attitudes... It just requires opening the case. Fatshark actually have a video on it for swapping the HT module with the newer v5 or the new (utterly amazing btw) trinity module.

Alternatively of course, they accept video in from any external receiver.

The attitudes are great value for everything you get IMO, and the dominatorHDs will be the definitive FPV goggle for quite some time.

Of course I wonder how long it will take until someone hooks up an Oculus Rift to use with FPV, if it hasn't been done already.

Link here, I had understood that there was a mod to be made but it looks fairly easy, mind you the Dominators can swap the module in about 3 seconds. Not so easy to change bands unless you drill a hole though.

Channel remains selectable through the goggles as normal for airwave but yeah for the tbs it wouldn't be so easy.

Same for TBS except to change bands the cover must be removed.

As far as screen size goes, what do the BASE goggles compare to? There are lots of pics of the screen size charts, but i have yet to find one with the BASE in the lineup, if its close to the attitude or dom sd, i think thats the way i'll go.
