Default To sell or not to sell?

Hey everyone, just looking for opinions. I have a Whiplash that I may be selling as parts are going to be hard to find. Wondering if it would make more sense to sell the whole airframe or part it out. I don't want to fly it for fear of crashing. I would rather someone take it and be able to use it for parts.

I no the feeling. Just had a crash this weekend myself, was able to purchase all the parts I needed except gears. fortunately I have a set of -17 and -18 ears to put in. If there was only a source for the damn gears we would be ok, as all the other parts a readily available and probably will be for quite some time.

I figured that but I would rather someone else keep theirs in the air and get what I can back out of it now. I have two Furions that I'm goin to keep going since I have another new kit in box.

Hi marchunter33,

Your decision. :-)
I will continue to fly my whippy-gasser until it falls apart, which hopefully never happens.

I do not see parts supply as a problem.
- Tailboom and mainshaft from my rjx-gasser fit the whippy.
- If I run out of head-spindles I can use a rjx-FBL-head, would ruin the looks, but would work. Still hope to find suitable a repalcement, a 8 x125 mm spindle could be adapted.
- If I run out of bevels, I convert it to belt.
So in the end I will be flying two very nice birds with one spare-part supply.

The only bigger problem would be a framebreak. If so, I will take a carbon-plate, use the broken frame as a guide, drill a few holes and cut it to size. It will not look as nice as the original, but it will (hopefully) work. It will at least increase my crafting-skills.
I see it as a challenge, not a problem.

Kind regards
George
