Default MCPX with Turbo Ace Tail from WOW

Hi all -
I put a turbo ace tail on my mcpx - when I got it, the boom didn't fit tight, so I suck a drop of CA on and let it dry to thicken the boom a little before I plugged it into the frame.

Well, after doing some of my very first inverted flights this weekend (I've been practicing on the SIM a ton!), I stacked in a grassy field.

When I went over to the mcpx, the boom had come out of the frame. I started to put it back in, but noticed it didn't fit tight and could easily be twisted so the motor wasn't square the the main shaft.

Since I had my msrx I just put the mcpx aside, but now that I've got it home and want to repair it, does anyone have any advise? I really like the hold of the turbo ace as far as tail authority... I just need to boom to fit like the stock one.

Thanks!!
PT

lots of options

a little bit of 'butt inspection' glove over the boom end before you push it in...

a little hot glue

some UHU Por adhesive, strong but not brittle or permanent like cyano

to mention a few...

got it - I'll give one of those a shot. Are there any tricks to making sure the tail boom is "Square" to the main shaft - other than eyeballing it?

I wish I had enough MCPXs to be able to stack them

I just 'eyeball it'...it's unlikely you'd notice it in flight even if it was a millimetre or two out
