Default Using different battery brands together in the 700E

So I am going to be purchasing a 700E hopefully soon and I currently have a single Blue 40c 5000mah lipo. Hobbypartz is all sold out and hobbyking has Zippy flightmax 40c 5000mah for sale. My question is can you use different brands together as long as they are the same C rating and have the same amount of mah?

you are asking for a world of heartache. different brands, different rating processes, it is doubtful that both would match in internal resistance, quality of cells and rated C output. Eventually one would drain more than the other which is not good for series run packs.

The reason its recommended that you use the same lipos with the same amount of cycles, etc is because they both have close to the same resistance which will allow both of them to drain equally. If the IR in one is high and the other low then you will have one pack getting hotter due to the "bottleneck". Thats going to put more stress on the good lipo over time and they are both going to have a short life. I always use the same packs together that i matched up by IR. I would suggest just getting a couple new packs and you will never have to look back.

i agree with above, it would be a bad idea to even run batteries from the same people but different batches at different times.
