I have the JR285 W/O the metel gears and they work great! Except they strip very easly... So if you got the ones with the metel gears I'm sure that they'd be even better that the other ones>Michael

I got the ds285s with my DX7 and am using them in my 450SA. They work great but I had to change the plastic gears to metal because the plastic gears strip VERY easily. I have not had any problems with them since even though I've had some bad crashes. Alan

Same here, got them with the DX7. I've actually gone through several crashes and no stripped plastic gears, but I have yet to crash with my new metal head so I see some stripping in the near future

I've been running them on my Diablo since the beginning (last September). I stripped gears in all three of them, but the metal replacement gears have held up quite well through several crashes, including one where the servo horn on one of the servos broke.
