Default BeastX 6deg Servo Horn Length

Just reading an older thread on servo length of 17.5 causing not level servo to swash links.
20mm giving level links but on the limit of beastX 6deg measurment.

I was planning on using the mikado horns. Can you get the beastx 6deg with the 20mm horn length ok?

I've never tried, Richard. I stuck with 17.5mm got blue perfectly. That said, I remember a picture posted where the person used 20mm to get the links to the swash to line up. I don't recall if they were using a BeastX or not. I would think that as long as you get blue at 6 degrees you're okay, though.

Hi Scott

Yes it was your very detailed build thread i was reading and saw it mentioned.

You stuck with the middle hole with no problems? Are the links very off sqaure?

Another vote for 17.5mm. I followed Scott's build as well and got the 6 degrees no problem and the heli flies great

I'm on the middle hole and have had no issues at all. I just looked at the links at 50 in 50 out; the pitch and aileron link rods are pretty straight up and down The elevator link rod is very slightly (and I mean VERY slightly) forward leaning. I don't think it's a problem as the helicopter flies better than anything else I have.

As a side note, if I wanted, I bet I could get out the small elevator link slant by simply moving the servo a little forward... I think there's enough room in the MKS mounting scheme to accomplish this. But... I'm not going to worry about it.
