Default 8 Days From MT to NJ?

I ordered a couple parts for the Raptor 30 on Monday night from a vendor in Montana. The items were processed and left the UPS sort facility on Tuesday 9/15 yet my estimated delivery date is 9/23. 8 days to get from MT to NJ in a truck? WTF??? When are these vendors gonna get on the same page as Readyheli and Helidirect and realize that the USPS ships faster and quicker than both FedEx and UPS. If only RH or HD carried more parts for the Raptor 30. Sorry, just venting as I wait for my parts.

I hate waiting for stuff also. Overseas has some great prices but the wait is a Killer. I have now managed a whole wall of parts which at times I still don't have what I need!

Oh well...time to order some more!

UPS is getting slower and slower, but USPS Priority takes an extra day to us than it used to as well. I guess it just goes to show that no matter how much they increase rates, you get your package when they are ready for you to.

The east coast really needs a major vendor for Raptor parts. I understand your frustration when needing something "soon" from Heli Proz. Good retailer, just so damn far away.

Ain't it the truth! Readyheli and Helidirect carry select parts for the larger Raptors but it seems that no one cares about the lowly 30 anymore.

Well I feel your pain when I have to order something from say FMA on the East Coast, but HeliProz is only two days to here....

The single biggest reason they use UPS is tracking which is available (sic) from USPS, but it's just not the same. Those guys will ship USPS if you specifically request it, but like TBM in Florida who I occasionally buy GS plank stuff from, they won't guarantee delivery. Horizon is the same way and IIRC, so is Tower.

Short answer; USPS has been known to lose things....

6 business days. Typical for UPS ground.

Write a nice email to the vendor and suggest they offer more shipping options. They will listen if enough people request it. Plus if you call them, they'll throw it in a USPS box for you.

Yes folks remember that USPS even tho quicker doesnt have the same tracking available as UPS does. In addition if you ever lose a package with UPS you can pretty much write off ever getting your insurance paid... I believe they can take up to 90 days to process your claim.

UPS might be a little slower and more expensive but at least you can rely on their insurance.

sounds about right don't forget ups doesnt ship over the weekend. However the funny part about ups, anything shipped from central US over to cali takes about the same time, dunno why.

I've ordered from heliproz a couple of times but only as a last resort because to NJ UPS takes about a week, you never know; then the last time, I hear this bang against the door and it was the UPS guy tossing the box off my front door! He never rang the bell or anything, he walked up and tossed the box. I just happened to be on the other side of the door. I b*tched at the guy and he didn't care one bit. They totally suc* in every way. Heliproz are you listening?

Thats sad to hear, i have a pretty good relationship with my UPS guy, he's really nice and always good with my packages at least. I dunno about other areas, but we seem to get the same guy everyday. He's been are guy for like 8 years now. I remember some 6 years ago when my drum set came to the door we talked for a good 10 mins, which is alot on there time just about music and its joys. Every time i see him around town i wave, getting to know ur guy really helps.

They already offer the USPS shipping option.

I've actually heard this from a few people since starting this thread and couldn't fathom why I wouldn't have chosen this option over UPS. I re-visited the site last night and found that HP charges $12.66 for the USPS option when the post office only charges $4-$5 and change. I'm not really sure why they're "marking up" the USPS option but the total of my original order was under $10. I'm not going to pay $12 and change to ship 2 very small items. I placed an order from Readyheli last night (3 full days after placing my order with HP) and I'll bet anyone $100 that my Readyheli order arrives first with mints to boot.

Yes, I recall that the option to use usps has been there for quite awhile, but you pay a lot more than it really costs for postage. Makes the whole ordeal just that much more unappealing.

From who?

I've bought a lot of stuff from OnlyRaptors, with good success.

I guess I don't get in a hurry for stuff anymore, I've got a few heli's to fly so, no big rush.

Good point Mitch. No matter who you order from and who you use for shipping there is no substitute for a spare heli to fly while you wait and keep the stress levels down.

I also know my UPS guy, he is a gem for sure, but unfortunately his company does not always make him look like the good guy he is.

I am pretty lucky, my area UPS guys are pretty squared away. I always find my boxes neatly placed at my door with zero damage. Even when the guy I bought my Raptor from basically took the boom off and tossed the whole mess into a box with a bunch of other spare stuff, free to rattle around in the box, it arrived in fine shape.

I live close to Heliproz, so I have no problem with their shipping time. Usually 2-3 days UPS. I don't know where this $12 USPS thing is coming from, they have shipped me little things Priority at the regular Priority cost.
