Default Bearings

What type of bearings is everyone using?

After going through numerous align bearings on my 450, sorting vibe problems. I have recently picked up some SKF bearings. They are used in industry (trucks, tractors, manufacturing) they are reasonably priced and have solved all vibe problems. The main shaft bearings were $4 each.

Has anyone else tried these?

Howdy!

Any way you guys can get some 4x2x1.5 flanged bearings? The "cheapest" I can find are going for over $12 a pop... I'm just looking for anything better than the e-flite crap bearings for the 130x tail case. Couldn't find any on your site.

Those would be F681X-ZZ. Bearings that small are a crap-shoot as far as quality goes. I have a hard time getting consistent quality at a reasonable price in those sizes. Some lots are very good and others are junk. I will see what I can do.

Anything's got to be better than the one e-flite are using. I've ordered some of the Walkera OEM bearings (no idea who makes them, probably another chinese brand) but many are saying they are miles ahead of the e-flite vendors' quality.

on my 500 pro im running boca ceramics and stock align bearings. Considering upgrading my mains to the oversized rc-tek i2rc ones. They feel smooth, 7 flights on them now.

The SKF bearings I get are made in France, Italy and Bulgaria. SKF has factories all over the world including China.

Point well taken! They had a plant by my old house in Philadelphia. Sure hope they didn't close that one.

I'll have to check when I go see mom...

I just ordered a few thousand SKF bearings in the popular mainshaft sizes as well as more gasser sizes.
