Question Heading Hold ?

Does HH only work in forward flight? I've been trying to hover and the heli keeps slowly turning left(tail right). I tried compensating with right trim on the rudder but it only seems to make it worse. Anyone have some things I can try? Could this be a tail setup problem? I think I have the servo centered and the pitch slider centred also.

If you're using the stock gyro it's very hard to dial out the drift, I was going mad trying to get rid of it on my 500 3d, which runs the same gyro. So I just got the mechanical setup to where it drifted the least and fly it.

Ok Thanks. If I get too tired of it I guess I can get a better gyro.

Try vibe hunting.there could be something out of whack.

That said, some gyros are less sensitive to vibes. I put a quark on mine on 3M tape and never looked back.

Same here - except for me it was a Futaba GY520

I imagine there are some guys that can make that stock 210 gyro work - but I discovered I wasn't one of them

I gave up on the 210 gyro when I put revo tail blades on the heli. I could not get rid of drift, it was either tail wag one way or drift the other. I could not justify spending around £70 just for a gyro so I decided to convert to flybarless instead. Its nearky finished ready for its maiden.

I just finshed fbl conversion and made me wonder why they even make flybar helicopters. I used a 7200bx and it is a lot better after 2 flights.
