Default GArbage 250 GYRO

I'm so damn pissed right now I punched a whole in a wall & my wife is going to tell me to sell this heli. Just got a new tail servo to try with this assan ga250, my 5084 keeps getting way to hot. The problem is I can't get the piece of crap to go into servo selection mode, had absolutely no problem changeing YESTERDAY! All trims at 0, subtrim 0, pitch & throttle curves go from 0-100%. Power up toggle gain 3 x while blue flashing.....nothing, just goes into operateing mode, pull the rudder & toggle & it goes right into reverse & end point set up. Now that I've plugged & unplugged the power about 1000 times either the solder is broken or wire is severed on my esc s battery lead. Why the hell won't it go into servo selection but it will go into reverse & endpoint no prob. I called out sick to work just to get the heli operational again with the new tail servo. I may take the ga250 to the range & see how it likes some 5.56mm rounds

After I resoldered the esc battery lead I tried again. Got into the servo selection mode, but I could not change it. Wtf? Pulled rudder full left & right & the # of flashes didn't change. I put the gy48 back on it the servo was barely pulseing. Unlike last week I hooked it up & the servo would not stop moving 2mm in both directions from center, in both digital & analog modes. Seems ok now, just got to test. Next paycheck its time to go flybarless. Tarot zxy here I come

I can't wait! What's the best place to order a tarot zxy from? When the ga250 was working correctly it maintained its attitude very well, too bad it was trying to ignite my tail servo

Either tarot-rc-heli.com or cncheli.com. Both are good sources with the first being my fav.

No need to go FBL just to fix a gyro problem. Try one of these:

http://www.cnchelicopter.com/servlet/the-1932/Tarot-GY650-Headlock-Gyro/Detail

I've got 3 of them and almost zero issues. I think moisture got in one of them once. It wouldnt initialize, I took it apart, put it back together and voila.

Or get a quark. My B450 tail is rock-solid - quark 5084 combo.

FBL really does help. I will say it's helped me learn to fly much quicker.

But I am really concerned that one day flybars will go bye bye. I would really hate to see that happen.

P.S. : Don't hit the wall. I am just now recovering from a broken hand (No, I didn't hit anyone/thing!). It's not fun.

A Quark, a Futaba GY520, any good quality gyro will make you life a great deal easier (and you flying more enjoyable).

All good advise just as was given on your other threads on this same issue. Expensive tail servos are not gonna solve a pos gyro. That 5084 you have would have been quite remarkable on a spartan quark as suggested.

Payday is tonight at midnight. Time to check those distributors out. In the past few days I've actual got my 5084 holding really well with my gy48v gyro, in digital mode, no delay & no overheating. I found that the closer I had my gain set to 50% in BOTH rate & HH the slower the audible & visible the pulseing became. Went down & up to 50% in both rate & hh , cut the power, powered on & put the gain settings back where I had them & there is barely any chatter.
