You have to understand that I am dealing with three different cases on three different helicopters in this thread with broken information. I talk to hundreds of people in a months time and I apologize if I forgot the circumstances surrounding your Heli.
Looks like you made up your mind and I can't change that. I am just trying to gather all the information so a solution one way or the other can be found..

@Laughingstill
Can I ask you a question Laughingstill?? Regarding my situation with the "IMU Sensor Failure" issue which appears to be the same as the OP's. As you saw, in my service ticket, the Mikado rep said they were developing a "fix" that would not actually require physical servicing of the unit and that it would be released soon. Do you know how close they are until they release this fix? While it does appear as if I can fly my model with the regular Pro firmware. I did pay for the rescue feature, so I was just curious as to the current state of the fix if you have any knowledge. Thanks.

If you got a response in Mikado Germany's site, they are the ones that would be most qualified to answer that question. MikadoUSA follows Germany's lead...

im not knocking neo at all I really love the way they feel .Ive tried every unit on the market and ive finally got all my helis on neo.I also rely on the rescue as its took me to a new level in 3d flying.Im almost ready to put them on the self until Mikado has a solution.I guess I will contact Mikado usa Monday and wait another six weeks to see what happens.

so, you are the OP of this thread and you've got 2 neos with "imu sensor" and blinking red. UNBELIAVABLE.
any of them involved in any crash? i'm not sure i'm flying my neos for now. i'd hate to have to rebuild my logo550 AGAIN. it is pretty clear there is a problem. if it is limited to a time period or a few batches i don't know, but there is a problem. yes, i know, they are going to say mikado sells thousands of units worldwide and that we are not many enough to prove anything, and bla, bla, bla, bla, bla... the question is: is it only a firmware problem or is it the hardware? if the latter, we are all screwed up.

no fbl unit should break down due to a crash. silverlines didn't and neos shouldn't.

This one today only done it once and when I unplugged it and plugged it back in it powered up like normal.Ive got other neo's that have been in disaster crashes and they are flying like champs.I really don't think crashing is causing this problem.

@try n to fly 35,
Are all your Neos on the latest firmware? Just curious if Neos on older firmware have this problem as well.

I wonder if there is a way they could let us downgrade to the previous firmware.

I apologize earlier if I was thread jacking but it seems very related our cases. FYI - I can show you my post on vstabi cafe forum as I was directed to go there when I posted here asking for help initially after my random test rescue crash which had many elevator and aileron sensors errors. In their first response it was said they had a hunch as to what happened but please fill out a service form etc. So I did. The first correspondance to me specifically said you are not on the latest firwmare please get onto the latest firmware as it has updates to the rescue function. So I did. Its been fine since, and it was fine before that incident on the previous firmware.
In relation to your incident with the flashing and the imu error. That did happen to me once, and only once, but I just rebooted and it was fine again. haha back three years ago with other hardware those sorts of things would happen at least once a day so I'm used to rebooting if a servo is randomly not working or if the unit doesn't initialize / bind etc. And just to be fair, their responses and willingness to help has been fantastic, but whats bothering me is if you have a feeling something is suspect, come out and say it. Why else do you take customers emails and track all serial numbers which revisions they're on etc. |

The first neo that this happen to had like you said a bunch of aileron and elevator out of range errors to but this did not.I wish I could post these errors on there forum but something is keeping me from logging on.Everytime I try it tells me that password is incorrect so I have them send me another one and then it says that one is incorrect to so I've never been able to log in.

Go to vstabi.info, post a thread there with all the relevannt info like heli, all electronics, firmware version and such. They are gathering all relevant data and are working to find out what exactly is going on....

I'm confident Mikado will work it out. I do love the system and here is where Mikado will either shine with it's support or tank if it burns loyal customers. So far my support has been top notch and the turnaround has been great on my one failed unit. I don't think anyone expects perfection but I also don't expect to be buying another unit if it's 1year and 1day old with a known issue. I'm at 1100 or so flights on my neo's with one bad unit which didn't lead to a crash only a boot error.

Yeah I was going to do the same but I figured I'd be helping resolve the issue with more units for them to test.
