Default Fixing swashplate

I know it's been asked before, but I can't find it. Anybody have a good technique for fixing a broken arm on a swashplate?

I've seen it too but can't find it...regardless if you get it fixed it'll only be for a while (I'm on my third)
So invest in microheli or rakon (which I'm ordering this weekend)

I just used Krazy Glue and it held ok, keep in mind I was just flying around and not going to crazy with it.

Glue it back up with CA, and sprinkle baking soda on the CA. Supposed to be stronger than just using CA by its self.

Thanks guys, that was the thread I was thinking of. Looks like I even participated in it, I must be getting alzheimers, because I knew of the baking soda trick but didn't remember it was for the swashplate.

I checked with my LHS, and they have some in stock. So I decided to take a chance and try a different way- welding.

I clamped my soldering iron in a vice, and touched the swashplate and arm to either side and then pushed the arm onto the swashplate. It took me a few tries, but was able to get what feels like a solid joint. Unfortunately, in the process I melted too much of the arm and it's shorter than the other one. So I'm going to go with (one of) the new one I got from the LHS.

The first picture compares the repaired swash with the new one I got. You can clearly see the starboard one is a tad short. I'd use it in a pinch, but I'd rather use a fresh one.

The second picture is a closeup of the weld.

CA glue on one part accelerator in spray on the second... Works for me. Repaired two swash plates this way.
