Still the best tail gyro out there? I might have to pick one up. Only $79.99 at HeliDirect.

Where do you see them for $79.99? The cheapest quark I see listed on Helidirect is $164.99

I don't see any links on their web page to a black friday section.

Weird, that shows the page as being under Home > Hot Deals yet when I click on the hot deals button at the top it gives me a different page.

Yeah, I saw the Quark and grabbed it before it was gone. $80 for a quark is a good deal. Liked a few of the canopies too, but the one I liked was for the 500EX, doesnt look like it fits the old ESP.

I have a 500EX canopy and it fits fine on my 500ESP.

I can't remember wether it came with holes in it I if I reamed them myself.

Wasnt really worried about the holes.. more about the cut outs for the servo linkages and the shape. If it fits...looks like another order to HD!!

I see that the HD Quark is the Outrage version. What's the difference besides the case and the sticker?

IMO,the Spartan DS760 is the best tail gyro to date followed by the Quark.Reason I say that is the Quark is VERY picky about vibes..The Quark is a bad azz gyro but once you start having tail issue's like kick's at high or low headspeed's or drift with high or low headspeed's,you for sure have a bad bearing somewhere..On my 600E I had all them issue's and ended up being a bearing. Not all at the same time but between a few month's each time..Just letting you know if the tail act's funny, chances are it's a warn bearing or part..

Both my 500's fly the DS760....I agree 100%. I even have a spare DS760 I like it so much. Solid as rock, and you can find them in the for sale threads at great prices too.. but a quark for $80.. I just couldnt pass it up. Maybe I'll have something to put it into next spring???

No difference in the outrage.. just a sticker and a silver case I think.

Ok...so I am pretty tempted to purchase it just because of the price!.... I have the Futaba GY401 currently in my Trex 500.....is this Spartan Quark that much better?
