Here's a video I shot of my friend doing some nice 3D with his T-Rex 450 Sport (with pro canopy). There's not many who fly 3D here in the Philippines so he is easily one of the best in the country. There's a bit of stick action shown in the middle of the video so check it out!

This is how we Flips roll! Pun intended

Try learning to fly in idle up or flight mode 1 - however it's called on your radio. It makes for a smoother flight with a constant headspeed & gets you used to flipping the switches. Then when & as soon as you are ready, drop the sticks. It seems like a big jump to make, but the heli really does fly better, more sensitive to rolling as you're landing, but it is a practiced & learned skill. The other thing - flying kind of close to that SUV, Ask me about the blade ding in the drivers door of my last car... It was a lease so it got chaulked up to wear & tear parking lot damage, but car doors don't make horizontal dings! keep up the good flying & the videos, Andy
Thanks for the advice Doc. I just got the Hitec Aurora 9 with 9 channel receiver and need to set it up. As soon as I do that I will start trying to use the switches more. Hope to be doing some figure 8's by mid Summer.

You're getting better and better snjbird, neat sideway tic-tocs and pyro's.
I'm currently working on those with my 450 pro and 450 SEv2 with V3 headblock and torque tube upgrade.

And thanks for your many, usefull posts.

I think it's 90-95-100-95-90. With the JustGoFly 500th at a 13T, I was getting 3050, but my lipos are getting tired... after going back and watching it, it sounds like it's around 2800 now. I just ordered some 30 Blue Lipos... we'll see how they do.

Did your kit come with the GP780 gyro. Mine came with the new canopy and gyro, great deal. Nice looking build. I like the sleeving, think I will do the same. It really blends the wiring in to the frame.

Finally got some pics uploaded. I've had my Sport for about 5 months, never more than two days without some stick time. It's only seen one crash... knock on wood. I hate wiring and ran it in the sleeving so it's not an eyesore. Zip-ties are a no-no as well, so I used avionics wax string (tied properly I'll have you know) to keep them bundled to the frame or each other. With the limited space, in order to use the 6200 Rx I had to move it forward for the servo plugs. I drilled holes in the frame for the antenna to protrude.

You can do a search for braided sleeving and find many more suppliers. Being an aircraft mechanic, I have access to it.... as long as I don't take twenty feet at a time.

That outer sleveing is also called "Snake Skin". I've used it for making audio snakes for guitar rigs and pa systems. Good stuff to keep multiple cables bundled up in one nice cable.

Here are a few pics of my SE V2...........

Been flying since the first of the year or so with this one. My first helicopter was a Shuttle ZXX years ago. Boy, what a difference with todays technology. Starting to get a good grasp on 3D aerobatics. Back flips, front flips, loops and rolls. Working on the nerve to start practicing inverted flight. I'm getting there but still pretty ugly. Enjoying the heck out of though. Trying to burn 5-6 batteries everyday practicing.
