Default are you ever going to make a fbl 450

this is to anyone from m.a. i was just wondering if you are thinking about making a fbl head for the furion 450, last time i spoke to brian james he said that after all the other projects(whiplash) that yes you would be making one, is that going to happen or is there something else in the pipeline

I can not give a definitive answer. But with the Whiplash and other projects going on at MA I would guess your best bet as of now is to convert a FB model.

The conversion is very simple and can be done with parts already included in the kit or can be accomplished even easier by purchasing a swash driver.

Here is a very good, detailed thread with pictures, covering a Furion 450 FBL conversion.
It was posted by MA team Pilot Art Hughes.

The Furion and Beam are very similar, perhaps there is a chance that the head from the Beam may work.

Yup, do what Artie did to his Furion 450. It flies amazing with the CGY750 and his setup. He will be more than happy to help you with the project. Just shoot him a PM!

As of right now there is not a new 450FBL in the works.

We would of course like to offer a new updated design and perhaps in the future this is something that we can explore.

we don't need the whole heli the original is still fantastic just the head or a conversion using some of the original head bits would be good too, i would order it now if it were available and i'm sure there would be others willing to swap to genuine ma parts, go on you know you want to

The Furion 450 is the one model that we didn't make in house in 25 years.

We had to rely on someone else for this, hence no new developments.

Art did do a thread on how to convert the model to FBL using stock parts for the most part.

Personally I'd like to see a new model but it's something that will have to be down the road.

Thanks!

Does the rumour that the Furion 450 was actually designed and manufactured by Beam hold any water?

sorry to hear that i'll guess i'll stick to the align head, you are going to still support the furion 450, as i'm hearing that parts are getting harder to get?

The Furion 450 and the Beam are not the same helicopter.

Parts are still available for the Furion 450.

That doesn't mean, necessarily that it wasn't made in the same factory! (I have no idea one way or the other).

The Furion450 was made in South Korea as I recall. Likewise the Beam is too. Again there is a lot of manufacturing in Korea, so that association may mean litte!

I know this, I've owned both which in part lead me to ask the question I did.
Not sure which way to take the answer
