My First Heli Flight of the Day starts with the Blade SR

In 2010, I decided to try Helicopter's and purchased two new Blade SR's. One to fly and the other one so I could see how to put the heli back together after a mishap. I'm at our designated flying spot daily (I'm retired), and fly my Blade Sr, the Blade 400, Align 500's, the Blade 500 3 D and the Blade 600 X. The Sr, is flown first each morning before the wind comes up, almost for the last 5+ years (gone thru one main motor and one speed controller during that time along with several tail motors.

I haven't had to replace a tail motor now for the last several years, as everyone knows the SR tail motors don't survive most mishaps. If one uses the designated battery (E-Flite 3S 11.1V 1000mah 15C), use Idle Up upon takeoff (the thin wire that they use for the connection to the armature doesn't overheat and can last years unless you crash (although the tail motor only use to be around $9).

I belive the SR gets a bad rap online and just thought I would offer some support to a fine little heli that's gets flight time daily here in Florida.

Wow! Your one of the first I've heard that flies yours daily! Pretty impressive!
Mine gets flown once in a while still but mostly just sits on the shelf.
Still love that little bird though!

I still fly my old SR UH-1 Huey. Nice looking bird and I fly it pretty much every time I go out with my helis. Nice warm up before bringing out my 450.

Nice to hear I'm not all alone though mine doesn't get flown daily (because I don't get to fly daily).
