Default I flew my quad

I'm guessing your first thought is Big Deal! Well three years ago I lost sight in my right eye. So I flew with out depth perception. How about that! It came home unscathed.
It may be no big deal to some of you but it's a big deal to me!

Well done! Lack of depth perception is probably the main reason I don't like simming.

Good for you.

Believe me when I say this is the point where a lot of us understand exactly what you mean. Not all of us are born with the ability to slam one of these machines around the sky like a gnat on steroids so even the simplest of accomplishments are truly a big deal.

I'll bet you had a smile so big you could eat a banana sideways.

I have only one good eye also but have had this issue for a long time.
No idea what I'm missing with no binocular vision.
Keep the faith your brain will adapt.

Default One eyed pilot (Junkpilot)

I have been flying helis since 1986. I've always liked bigger helis for obvious reasons.
I flew competivly in the eighties. When the blindness came on I was devestated.
So yes it was wonderful to fly my quad without a problem.
As a sidenote; Don't wait for your doctor to suggest diabetes testing and blood pressure checks. I could have avoided blindness if I had been more agressive with my doctor.
He had a hundred opportunities to check my blood sugar but when it was finally done I
only had a week of binocular vision left.

^ This.

If you're thirsty all the time, if you pee constantly, if your vision goes blurry sometimes, if you wake up sweating in the middle of the night and you have to get something to eat, if your feet and / or legs ever feel numb, if you are always flying off the handle about little things:

Get Your Sugar Levels Checked.

Diabetes kills you slowly, one body part at a time.
