Default Gt5.2 tail and swash gain

I've attached a pic of my screen. My swash and rudder gains are backward. Is there an easy way to swap these without doing so in the radio? I'm using a futaba 14sg and they are backward from how I have them set in my radio.

Or do I just reassign the switches. Seems like I might confuse that at some point, and I'd rather correct them in the gt5

I am no expert by far on the GT5, I recently aquired a E550 FBL and have quickly learned that in regards to a large community of help your SOL, or the thunder tiger owners are all out burning up the sky, lol. So since you have posted so long ago let's try to help.

I do not own the dongle so my input is from the touch screen point of view, but even if you see the gain values on the tools screen you must control them from the radio. So I would forget using the tool screen for anything other than reference for gain value.

Setting mine up I have learned that looking at the units screen after it boots up, that the Tail Gain is the bottom number and the Head Gain is the Top Number. I see both tail and head gain because when I went through channel selection I set both up on a switch. You have the option of not assigning either gain to a channel and thus getting the default value.

I would say you have the channels assigned backwards for thIe gains. Either redo the channel assignments or live with what you have and known which is which.

I use a dx8 and I was not happy with gain channels assigned to switches. I had to assign to a 3 position switch and control the gain values by changing the percentage of throw in the corresponding channel controling that gain (Tail = Gear channel, Head = Aux2 channel). Using the switch I could change gain values between the low and high, but not without momentarily passing through 0 or the default value (seamed like something not so great during a flight). I could imagine at some point in the future I would forget to check a switch and be screwed.

Ended up setting dx8 up to control both gains through flight mode using gryo for tail and governor for head gain. Much better system in my opinion than using a switch.

Good Luck - Post back if you are still having troubles.

The support for this does seem to be lacking. It's a decent gyro.

I was able to figure out my answer. I have everything assigned now how I want it.

After selecting sbus as the receiver in the rc menu, I was able to scroll and go into channel set. From there I was able to assign of teach my inputs to the gt5.2.

For setting throttle to a switch, your transmitter needs one zero curve and one flat curve. Then just toggle the switch your using.

You can just click and hold on the little box for tail or gyro gain and drag them up to the channel then drop. If you do that for swash gain (to channel 7) then it blanks out swash gain on channel 5 and you drag the tail gain up to channel 5 and drop. Takes about 5 seconds at most. Haven't been watching this forum much lately with other things going on.
