Default Furion Build Question

Well this is my first MA hell build and I am very very impressed. The quality of the parts is great and quite a dream to build.
I do have a question thought I bought the faster tail gear for it but when I got to install it the belt is too short. Has anyone else had this problem?
Ive installed the normal gear an the belt fits fine, was looking at running a 1900, 2100, 2200 rpm HS. Will the normal tail be ok I'm running 95mm tail blades at the mo or should I get some 105mm for use with the normal gear.

Any help would be great
Thanks
Gav.

Boom will have to be pushed in more, which means making the slot a little long on the boom for the screw.

If you do decide to use 105mm on the tail you should get an extended tail fin to protect the blades from the ground. I use this one FURION 6 EXTENDED VERTICAL FIN

Thanks I see now, i have bought the extended fin from reading the posts on here.
Is it worth putting the fast gear on? Or leave it as it is?

Will be a 12s setup.
Working out where to place the electrics now.

I use a 12S set up 4035-560 motor. I use the regular gear and 105's. I had the speed up pulley but found the angle off the gear to the idler pulleys was too great and did not allow for a "free" drive train. I like the regular gear with the larger tail blades. Buy the Custom heli parts tail fin and you are set.

I run 12s TP 3850 with kde 600xf, regular gear and 105 blades. Balances perfectly with the batteries pushed all the way back on the tray, and flies like a dream!

Batteries now arrived, turnigy 4000mAh 30c. They weigh just over 600g each just slid them up the battery tray and it balances ok. Running a jive 80hv so using the internal bec to run my vortex, which seems a little more power hungery since the latest update. Using a emcotec mag safety switch which works very well so far whilst playing.
Hopefully finishing off the elec setup and maiden tommorrow.
Cant wait seems like a beast with 12s and a pyro 700-52l motor powering it.

I run the speed up pulley with stock tail blades. I didn't mod the boom, just removed the set screw so it goes further in. Tail is rock solid. Keep the belt tight and oil it with silicone spray, never had a problem.

I don't have a reliable tach so all I can provide is the mechanics...10s, 4025-550 scorpion motor with 12t on standard main. I believe it calculates around 2000 but again only an estimate. I will say it seems fast to me and she's no dog powering through big loops.

I run the standard pully with 105 tails and the larger fin. All good for me.
