Thumbs down R2Hobbies are rip offs

I saw an ebay auction from R2hobbies that said 3D helicopter for only $189
I get it, and it is a fixed pitch model.
AND IT DOESN"T WORK ! ! !
I tried to contact them about the problem.
They told me to take it to local hobby store to fix it.
I tried, no LHS wanted anything to do with it.
I contaced R2Hobbies again and said the LHS's would not fix it.
They said I should buy another one from them.
I will NEVER order from them again EVER !
By the way they insured it for $1300.
I think they wanted me to say the shipping company broke it.
Styrofoam box arrived just fine.
But once again, I will NEVER order from them again EVER !

If you go to Ebay and type in 3D Helicopter. You will see there is a lot of helis for sale on Ebay that says 3D Helicopter, there is even 3 channels that have that description.

Here is a couple of examples.
http://cgi.ebay.com/3CH-Radio-Contro...3A1%7C294%3A50

http://cgi.ebay.com/4Ch-3D-Remote-Co...3A1%7C294%3A50

http://cgi.ebay.com/Combat-Force-Mic...3A1%7C294%3A50

Doesn't sound like R2Hobbies listed there add any different that several other adds on Ebay. Just that the customer ASSUMED when they saw 3D in the description that the helicopter was fully aerobatic. It is up to the customer to make sure what they are buying is exactly what they THINK they are buying.

The old adage applies to RC Helis in a HUGE way.

"You get what you pay for" and "if it's too good to be true.. it prolly is"

that's what is so good about finding these boards. you can research any known heli here and someone will know something about it.
Always come ask questions here before you purchase anything RC Heli related unless you know what you are getting.

I've bought 2x planes frome them now and they both work great, just ordered carbon tubing from them and they wanted to charge extra for postage but I dug my toes in and they offered to cut tube in half and post for original price, I said great as thats what I was going to do anyway.
I have found these guys good to deal with.

You have to look more into the details, ask questions and see who your buying from. I would not spend that kind of money for something on ebay with out knowing more details and someone having perfect feedback.

Default r2hobbies are scammers

DO NOT EVER purchase or deal with R2Hobbies, they are thieves, crooks and scammers, i paid them and 16 weeks later i still did not recieve my items, they especially like to use delay and stall methods so you will over run the 45 day refund period from paypal, they will tell you wait, and check your post office time after time. after 45 days they will tell you that they cant do anything for you, and they sent your items and you are on your own.

they do not list an address, or telephone number, not on the site, nor on paypal, not even on the website registration information, they do that by a proxy organization. this is the behaviour of a scammer thief.

they have one customer service person "Victoria" who acts dumb and stupid each time you ask for refund. this is what happend with me.
do not fall for this, even if they tell you it is a shipmnent with a tracking number, this is all crap, in china, everything can be faked and scammed, including tracked post.

better spend a little more on other reputable respectable seller and dont fall for the cheap scammer from R2hobbies like i did. i was stupid to fall for it, you do not need to be.

Well waiting 45 days before filing a complaint is your own fault. If i haven't received my item in 2 or 3 weeks i file a claim and if it arrives i drop the claim.

4 weeks then file a claim, you can always drop the claim or pay later if the package arrives.
