Finally got to fly it after a long spell of bad weather. 3 very satisfying packs, then a bent landing strut after a botched auto at the end... I guess I need more practice.

Just flew a pack in front of my house, Reset up BX, Still some issues with getting Cyclic even in all directions. left Aile and Back Elev have more travel than the other directions. But was good flight, some hover, couple flips and rolls while it was snowing heheh. Chilly on fingers(had frostbite in them) so they get a little less delicate on the sticks

Put 2 packs in yesterday, and put 2 packs in today as well!

Wow, what a machine! Sadly, I can only do figure 8s and some FFF because the area I fly in is rather small and i'm not confident enough to flip it in such a small area.

Weather is getting WAY warmer here. Got some nice 75°F today! Still about 2 feet of snow on the food though.

Sooooon, The fields will clear up and I'll let het rip!

4 Packs in the Protos and 5 in the Blade. In front of my house, really high. Not sure how I'm liking the Turnigy motors in both. Flight times good, but seem to bog under tictocs and such. Maybe just bad collective management?

Picked up my first protos 500, a couple of weeks ago, and I stripped the head down for the fbl upgrade.

I fondled some plastic bags.

Took inventory of parts and noticed the last bits didn't come in when I thought they would.

Finally got around to swapping out a 9257 for a BLS 251 and worked on taking some binding out of the tail slider. Now to re-setup on 5.2 Vbar and re-maiden.

Won't be able to afford to finish my Furion 6 for awhile so the Protos will be seeing tons of play this season.

1 pack today. Suns going down. Some nose down tictocs and pitch pumps. Mostly getting CC ESC data to try tune and experiment with this Turnigy 880Kv motor.

Swapped over to my DX7s, reset BeastX

Flew 1 test hover pack in the driveway

then took it to the field where I flew 2 packs of what i would call my first real flight

I was doing circles and FF very easily, the mcpX has taught me well..

It was a little windy and I was amazed how well it flew, very stable...just need to work on the tail settings on the beast, seems to make a loud buzz when I give it fast rudder input

Placed order with MSH-Direct for my stretch kit and low fbl hub as well as some crash parts I needed

Also pre-ordered the "Brain"

With the super fast shipping from MSH direct I should have my baby reborn by next weekend.

BTW anyone check out the new storefront at MSH? Lookin good Bill! Nice, easy to navigate site, and prices are spot on. For a smaller distributor Bill really stays competitive and cust service Rocks!

Hopefully next weekend I can report on how my new stretched/chopped Protos flew!

I turned on the Pitch Boost feature on my BeastX and all I can Say is "WOW"

It's set at solid red(medium) and it really really livened up my Protos!! Direction and pitch changes are so much more crisp. The sounds the blades were making scared my girlfriend.. She went and hid in the car.

I've had my Protos for almost 4 months, and every time I fly it I like it more and more! It's really growing on me.

Flew 2 packs, put it in IU mode which I have at a straight 85% TC..WOW that was scary

2nd pack for today (4th pack on the bird) I started feeling more comfortable doing fast circuits and seems my flying now wont get 6 minutes out of a 2500 pack so had a unplanned Auto

trimmed the side tabs off my cyclics, set servo horns at 90, step g on the Beast, and assembled the servo cage and verified the servo trim on the Beast.

I actually had another ice75 on my trex 500 that doesn't have all that extra plastic on it, and the stock location had been enlarged for bigger esc's, and the ice off my trex fits perfectly, so I'm just gonna swap them because I can just strap the larger one on my trex's side where I had the other one.
