Talon90, battery information??
I want more headspeed in governor mode, and ive heard that you can change the nominal battery volt in the castlelink, instead of changing pinion. So, i wondered if someone could explain how this works? can i damage my batteries? im using TP 65C...

Talon90, battery information??
Castle figures voltage at 3.7v per cell. Some raise to 3.9 or more. It's gives you a little more room to increase your head speed before the castle software starts yelling at you. Not going to hurt your packs. Higher head speed will lower flight time. How much is dependent on how much you increase your head speed. I would look at your logs first with your current head speed and see if you are hitting 100% throttle often. You need some head room for gov to work properly. Castle is a little conservative though.

Setting a software input parameter to 4.2V/cell won't make any existing battery I know of hold that voltage. Fooling with this parameter doesn't change the way a real system behaves. Yes CC may be conservative with their rpm estimates, and you can always play with set rpm values, then look at the logs to see if it is being held during the flight. You can fool yourself, but you can't fool mother nature! |
