Most of my batteries (old Zippys) have over 100 cycles and are loosing thier pop.
Can this also cause tail drift towards the end of a pack?

Yes, if your headspeed is dropping enough at end of flight, your tail looses speed about 4x as fast and looses authority. To slow HS and the tail won't have the strength to overcome the blades

thanks. Its rock solid at the start of the pack and the everything else is fine, then after 4:00 or so the pop is gone and the tail starts to drift right.
I thought I would see something in the charger when the batteries start to go. I still fly for 4:30 on the 2200 Zippys, they end up at 3.78 to 3.85 per cell after flights and I put back about 1100mah, 50%. Should I see anything on the charger? Maybe it's time to try a Thunder Power G6

How does your headspeed fair at end of pack? Is it noticably slower? The at rest volts may be 3.7 after flight, but when your flying they could be dropping pretty low. A sign of either to low a C rating or packs are on their way out. More than likely packs are old. I havn't had much luck with Zippy's for long term. Voltz 45c for my 450 and 500 seem pretty good so far.

Yep, the headspeed is noticably lower at the end of the pack, what you said makes sense.
I ordered 5 Zippys about 4 years ago, most got over 100 flights but one pooped after 30 or so. Seems they are done now. I just ordered the Thunder Power G6 2200, I'll find out what I've been missing on friday hopefully.
