Default CC Pro or LiFe and at what capacity (mah)?

I just bought a YGE 90HV to convert to 12s so I will move on my CC ICE 100A esc (which is 8s), however it is soldered to a CC Pro and just wondering if it would be better to sell them both as a package and use a LiFe pack instead?

I have Align 610's on the cyclic and a savox 1290mg on the tail and I am flying big air 3D. I know these servo's are power hungry and just wondering if a LiFe pack would be too heavy for the needed capacity. Is anyone using these servo's with a LiFe pack, if so at what capacity?

Or is it better to keep the CC Pro with these servos and upgrade the servos and go to a 2s LiPo pack later instead?

Life are great on your LV servos and can provide more amps if needed than a bec and one less thing to go wrong. Although if you ever want to upgrade to HV servos you will have ditch the pack and run a bec or a 2s lipo. BEC's are definitely easier. I used to run a life pack on my 600 but upgraded to kon esc and now run the internal bec which makes life easy.

I ran the Savox 1258/1290 combo powered by a LifeSource 1800 life pack on my Fusion 50 running 623 blades, and it ran everything just fine for several flights. I'd have to look at that pack on the bottom of my 570 to check fitment, but if it fits, it would work fine with your setup.

If you want to run an hv setup, then a 2s lipo of similar capacity would be fine, too.

Thanks everyone for the help here's what I ended up doing:

I put in a turnigy 1450mah 20c LiFe pack, weighs 85g (not much more than an external bec & bug). Also changed out servos to Mks Bls950's on cyclic and a mks760 (coreless motor) on the tail (with an align step down).

I put back in about 500mah after two flights. Taranis log shows the pack is always holding 6v during the flights.

It fits perfectly under the heli (g570).

Given all the dangers of using an external BEC (I've had one big crash due to power failure, not planning on having another.). And no need for a back up guard (bug). This is almost a weight neutral solution compared to using the bec/bug combo.

I think the next step would be to a kontronik jive esc with internal bec. But given its cost compared to a €8 battery pack I can put up with plugging in a few extra wires for a little bit longer...
