Default Can anyone provide timing guidance with Hobbywing ESC and E6-550 motor?

Installed a Hobbywing Platinum 100A ESC on the E6-550 with stock JR 1750KV 8-pole motor. I've been using YGE ESC's prior. At the default 15-degree timing setting, the motor seemed anemic compared to the YGE ESC at the same throttle level. I bumped the timing to 18 degrees and I feel more power. Does anyone have guidance for timing setting with JR 8-pole motors? Should I try higher timing settings? How high is too high?

Increasing the timing will give more power but also more heat in the motor. If you go very high it might stop running smooth.

Increase to your liking and keep checking the temperature of the motor...

What is the max temperature I shouldn't exceed? Somewhere between 150-160 degrees F?

Have not got a clue... Motors can run quite hot. 160F is about 70C. I think motors can run hotter then that...
