To me the new heli looks just like any other current simplified machine. I believe the undercarriage is ugly and unfortunately like many other "modern" designs. Where is the point of difference?
If the original was a great machine then why not stick with it? The Hirobo Freya is almost exactly the same as it always was because it works perfectly. Sure it's no longer seen as trendy but really who cares, it's actually stylish and amazing to fly. Don't reinvent the wheel for the more fickle amongst us. |

The problem is that there is only so much you can optimize with a carbon fibre frame. They all are great allready.
Compass tried something new with the Exo. It sure looks way better than every other carbon frame I saw so far. There is no point to it though and I bet a spare frame costs a lot more than it should only because of the funky design. I fly my helis with canopy. You can't see the frame beneath anyways. The problem is that old frames don't get bought simply because they are "old". They have to come with something new because noone touches an old heli with a stick simply because it has been in the marked for years.

Old is ok for me but at "premium" price i would expect more than this..my latest built is a budget 600 esp stretched to 700 and i love it.

The one thing I have liked about Kasama is the quality jewelry like of the product. It was the first helicopter that I paused admiring the workmanship of every parts before putting them together.
If the new one is the same I am in.

Why can't the frame be cut with more detail like the Dune?

It appears to have a linear swash servo setup, an almost exact copy of Henseleit?
BTW, is no news good news? |
