Recover the punch in the lipo
Hello I am Mariano. I have 2 lipos nanotech 4s 3300mha 65/130 c. I never lower the voltage of the less than 3.4 lipos, they never heated, never they inflated in the field the charge to 9amp and 4amp in home. The lipos in cycle number 30 and lost the punch. Is there anything I can do to make them recover the punch?
They initially delivered 170amp peak, now only 130amp. I use 10-minute and charge 2500mha in the lipo Sorry for my English Thank you for your answers |

No, the internal changes that cause loss of "punch" are permanent & non-reversible. Sorry about that.

I personally would never go that low 3.4v, I stay at 3.8V per cell at the lowest 3.75 and keeps my lipos with running great.

3.7 is the lowest i will drain my lipos, i try to keep it around 3.8 to be honest with you, going below 3.7 is not good for the lipo

3.4v/cell is like beyond empty. thats what is killing your lipos.

3.7 or 3.8 is that what you should run them down to under a load? I monitor my voltage while flying and if I run them down they always bounce back up about a half volt for the entire 6 cell. If I fly down to 21.6 volt when I take the battery out its at 22.2 or better. Is this bad??

Something doesn't sound right here - if you're putting 2500 back in the cells should not drop down to 3.4, unless if you're talking about in-flight running a large draw on the packs.

I fly my 3S2200 down to about 10.5V under load, and usually put back 1700-1800 mA-hr.

Internal resistance is of 2-3 - 2-3 They think you this? |

If you want more "punch" you need to buy better packs. Gens Ace are very popular for helis AFAIK they make hardcase car packs too.

I think it's perfectly acceptable to run lipos as low as 3.4V under load, as long as you have in-flight voltage monitoring. This means your pavks will recover to about 3.7V resting voltage. All this, of course, as long as you're not putting more than 80% back when charging.
Personally, my newer packs maintain 3.5+ in flight, while the old ones get down to 3.4 in hard maneuvers towards the end of the flight. They're usually at 3.68-3.76V resting and charge an average of 77% capacity.

I believe the OP means his resting voltage after flight is 3.4V/cell.
