Default Platinum esc

Hi all, what do you guys set your voltage protect setting to for 3 cell batteries on the HW Platinum esc (40A)? The default looks like it's - middle 25.2V but how can that be right? My helis start to cut off and I check the batteries and they are around 3.5 per cell. Should I change the setting or just leave it alone? Thanks for any advise. Tim

One more question, the Scorpion 2221-8 specs say 5 deg. timing. Anyone know if the increments on the program box are in degrees? There is only 0, 3.75, 7.50, 11.25, 15 (default), and up. I'm going to try the 7.5 I guess and see how it goes...

Your running your batteries too low.. If they are reading 3.5 under load the ESC is probably seeing 3.3v or less.. To get the most out of your batteries you should only use no more than 80% of the battery.. Most people aim for 70% to give yourself a buffer.. So around 3.7v per cell. If you keep running your batteries to < 3.5v per cell, the batteries wont last very long..

Are you using a timer? How long is it set for?

Timing on 15 works fine on my Scorpion, i dont think the numbers relate for some reason.
My hobbywing works better than my Ice on a Trex500

Ok thanks guys I'll use 15 deg. and I could knock a minute off my timer. 6.5 minutes is pushing it I guess. So I guess the word is don't mess with the low voltage settings?
