Default TT Upgrade Worth it?

Just wondering if anyone has bought the torque tube upgrade for their vision 50? Personally I think belts are a thing of the past and I'm sick of the slop etc, but I don't know if I can justify £100 for it.

EQ-30050 Torque Tube Conversion Kit For Vision 50

I think it is a good up grade. I like torque tube over belt if you don't crash alot. LOL

I havent flown the belt on the v50 but I do fly a tt V50E and I am really happy with it. I would say yes its worth the upgrade. Just get an extra rubber and bearing to run 2 tt bearings or more. I personally run 3 and its silky smooth.

Thanks all. It's a lot of money at £100. I'm craving a new build, so I'm actually tempted to buy a Velocity 50 N2 and take the electronics out of the Vision. I can get a whole N2 kit for £335 - a lot more for your money than a simple TT mod for £110.

HEY PLANE!!! The TT upgrade is personally up to you. My Vision 50 started as just a c(belt drive) i have slowly upgraded it to make a cxe. This basically depends on what you want. Benifits of TT more power, less drive train drag, better autos. Downsides more parts, higher crash cost. One thing i can say is the TT gears are very tough, alot tougher then any other heli ive had. They actually take a good beating! Also its avery easy conversions but heres what it doesnt come with. Tail boom, tail shaft, grips, pitch slider,ect.. you will need to use what you currently have. Hope this helps

Velocity?!?! Over your vision?!?! Keep it belt and do the other upgrades i highly reccomend. they are as follows.

Front frame stiffeners
Bottom Base Plate - stops frame twisting
Front gyro mount - Must have
get the angular bearings for your tail grips too so for everything above its wayyyy cheaper then a new kit
