Default Pictures of blades 500's

Has anyone bought one yet? I would like to see what it looks like under the hood.

Looks that way! Lol. I was happy to see this thread thinking people would have one by now but I guess not. Maybe they need to make a 500 3D sub forum. I doubt they will sell very many 500 3D's. The 500x might even get slighted depending on this new era of helis coming out soon. I personally would rather go from a 450 to a 550 than a 500. Too small of a jump for me. Ok, bored morning rant over.

This doesn't look good. I can't believe no one on this forum has purchased a 5003d??? I didn't expect that. Unless everyone did what I did. I even tried to get horizon to help me with the price so I could go with them. I got NEGGED.

I guess it's a pretty small hobby and a FB'd 500 class bird that shouldn't likely exist (due to demand and already available competition) is even less appealing.

Eh, the 500x isn't for consumer sale yet. There are a few that have won them but Horizon is only taking preorders currently.

+1 i want to see the blade 5003d too. lhs has some in stock maybe ill check it out next time im in there.
i wasnt planning on buying a 500 sized blade but for the BNF kit the 5003d is actually a pretty good deal.
i'm soon about to have a spare GY520 too which i'd hate to see go to waste - i have had it less then a year
i wonder if it has plastic geared servos or metal? and how good the esc is? i noticed the frame is carbon fiber which is good, but the electronics could be a deal breaker

I saw one a few weeks ago at our LHS. They actually have two of them, one is in the box on the showroom floor and the other is suspended from the ceiling for all to see. It actually looked pretty good BUT I have no reason to buy a flybar heli.

My LHS is a Blade/Align dealer and I don't even see the B500 flybar on display or on stock for sale.

Yes.. I know the feeling... You must resist! You will go effin' broke elsewise!

BUT seriously... If I were you, between the two I'd get the 500X - the difference probably will be worth it.

I was hoping to see some b500's. I am seriously considering the 500x for next year.

I'm on the fence and debating if they should have skipped the basic RTF. If your going all in with a 500, I would think you either already have a radio or would want something better then a DX6i. For $850 I would have thought they could have done the new DX7. An RTF 500 seems great in theory. $600 for the BNF basic seems the most unreasonably priced of the three versions.

I think Hirobo was the only other manufacture who did a RTF with a big heli. I believe it was with the Scadeau 30 or 50...it must have flopped.

True. And it's not here yet.

Check out the price of a 500 that's here today then maybe.

This day and age it's hard to recommend a flybar heli to tell you the truth even though I find I like the look of them better (I honestly do lol). FBL just cleans things up so well. I make less mistakes because there is less opportunity to make them.

So the difference in price you might see in the number of crashes saved.

I guess if you're thinking of a different FBL unit it might make sense to buy the 500 3D if you want to go blade and convert it... I dunno.

no i really wasnt in the market for a fb heli. infact i had told myself once i retire the b400 (very soon now) ill be going flybarless only. my 450x will be my biggest flybar heli yet.

the 500 is only tempting due to the price and the fact i'll have a spare GY520. cheap way to get into even bigger helis, but still have better equipment.

im going to lhs sometime this week to collect my 450x, they have b500's in stock i might just check one out. i really shouldnt though that will just tempt me more

i dont ever do impulsive buying for anything else, but seriously if i had more cash behind me i'd have like 20-30 helis by now
