Default Satelite receiver blinking?

Hi Freaks!

I am using a AR9300 DSM2 9-Channel Carbon Fuselage Receiver http://spektrumrc.com/Products/Defau...odID=SPMAR9300 on my Trex 600EFL Pro. Ive run quite a few packs through it without any problems but this weekend, I took it out for a pack with some Fast FF and Some stall turns. Not any farther than usual.

But when I came down, I noticed the Satelite receiver (But not the main receiver) blinking. I would think that if there was some kind of brown out, I would have noticed something while flying and BOTH recievers would be blinking, but it was only the Satelite that was blinking.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Ed

Ed, check the cable that connects to the satellite... but a blinking one usually means a brown out. The only other time they blink is if you turned your radio off and then back on again without power cycling the radio on the heli. In this case, it blinks to indicate a loss of signal.

I've had this issue on two separate occasions on two different helis.

Both times, it was patch cable related. On the first one, the cable itself was bad. Replaced it (about six bucks I think) and everything was back to normal again. The second one was just some dust in one of the connections.

Unplug your patch cable and check it for foreign material and that the connection is good, power everything up, and see if that fixes it. If not, try a new cable. There's a good chance one of these fixes will work.

Good luck.

I've found that I have to power up my helis a short distance from the transmitter or I sometimes get one or both satellites slow blinking ( not the same as binding fast blinking )

Recently I noticed that if I don't power my TX down between flights of the same Model that the satellites slow blink.

When I switched models between flights I had no such problem.

Hi,

I had a very similar issue lately also on my 600E. I’ve been flying her for months without any issues then all of a sudden about a month ago after each flight landed with one blinking sat. So did some research and getting a good deal of help on this forum, but what sorted my problem out was simply moving the sat’s to a better position. Read this, worked like a bomb for me after I applied some of these rules to all my setups, http://www.archeli.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=136223
